[Aug 2023] My mentee Lyndsey Umsted in the data science capstone class (Course Website) will present our project Understanding and modeling human mobility response to California wildfires at SIGKDD 2023 SOCAL DATA SCIENCE DAY.
[Aug 2023] I joined Climate Hazard Center at UCSB as a graduate student researcher to help climate scientists correct station precipitation observations using statistics and machine learning.
[Jun 2023] I will teach GEOG W12 Maps and Spatial Reasoning and CMPSC 16 Problem Solving with C++ in Summer 2023.
[Dec 2022] I finished a software engineering intern (machine learning) on geo-document retrieval at Google.
[Sep 2022] I finished a PhD software engineering intern (machine learning) in Ads Core ML team at Meta Inc.
[Sep 2021] I finished a research engineering intern (computer vision) on object detection at Uber AI and received a fulltime L4 return offer.
